HUNTING SKILLS
Post-season Scouting and preparation for the next season
This workshop is a deep dive into the wisdom and lives of the White-tailed deer and the skills to get to know them intimately.
Have you ever wondered why different deer do what they do, at different times of day/year or during variations in weather or the breeding season? Why mature bucks sleep over here, does and fawns over there? Why they choose different travel routes and leave different sign along the way?
Do you know how to interpret the sign they leave behind in a meaningful way, so as to be able to predict there behavior consistently?
Have you ever tried to touch a deer? Or get close enough to shoot one with a bow or even a camera on a consistent basis?
Do you know where the closest deer is to you, right now? Is it mature or young, buck or doe? Which deer is it specifically, in the overall local herd? Why is it doing that right now?
Do have the right clothing and gear to be able to sit quietly for hours or stalk in real close to these elusive and acutely aware animals, while staying concealed from the other animals that may give away your presence?
The wisdom of the white-tailed deer is impressive and the skills required to harvest them, whether this experience will help you find your first deer or the catch up to the mossy backed buck you have been chasing for years, this workshop has the tools for every hunter or avid naturalist or wildlife photographer.
This workshop has been crafted to teach you how to prepare to hunt white-tailed deer, through in depth field study on properties with tons of hunting history and shared lessons from mentors with decades of experience.
Though we are focused on the elusive white-tailed deer in this workshop, the skills learned can also be adapted and applied to any other animals as needed.
“I have so much more respect for Deer now that I have experienced this learning. It is amazing how smart they really are. Thanks Skeet and the team for helping me understand the subtleties of this amazing animal.”
