The Way of the Hunt

This course will focus exclusively on becoming one with the White tail deer.  The goal is to get you as close as you can get to a white tail while staying completely invisible (some may even get close enough to touch the animals themselves.)  You will be pushing your ability with the skills of camouflage, stalking, bird language, tracking and awareness and naturalist skills to the extreme.  Using only your Bow or with your Camera, (whatever you feel confident with and are licensed to use)  we will teach you the ways of the traditional hunt as we have learned them.  While respectfully carrying the caretaker mentality with us at all times, we will learn together to use the whole animal, while applying the skills of field dressing, butchering, skinning and preserving hides.  We will train together for the first three days, getting your gear set up and scouting the locations.  Then you will pick a spot to stalk for remainder of the time.   Throughout the weekly routine we will hold daily lessons and group discussions that will help us celebrate and compound on the experiences of everyone.

When: Monday November 22nd (9am) to Sunday November 28th, (6pm)2010
