Drum Building Workshop

Traditional Drums
Cultures world wide have always found the drum to be a powerful tool in many aspects of life. In celebration, ceremony, song and dance, in healing, in prayer, its resonance evokes within us a continuity with the world around us. It helps to connect the inner and the outer worlds within us.
In this workshop participants will build their own drums using traditional methods. Using locally harvested, native softwood frames and white tail deer rawhide for the materials, you learn from start to finish how to bring a voice to the drum you build.
