NEW SITE – We are proud to have you visiting our new site! It is still under development but we decided to launch early in conjunction with ourHEADWATERS GATHERING REGISTRATIONopening! Please keep this in mind as you explore the site. We have placed a feedback form in the footer of each page that will allow you to help out with anything you notice that pertains to the site upgrade!
It’s that time of year again, and we are stoked to welcome you to our camp!
Please take note of several key changes that are in place this year (outlined below), as part of Headwaters’ evolution and growth. Be sure to read through everything carefully before completing registration.
As many of you know, Sticks & Stones Wilderness School is the host organization of the Headwaters Gathering. We have had our home base in the Beaver Valley since 2011, where we have enjoyed many truly wonderful gatherings on the land known as Kimbercote. This past December, SSWS moved locations to Baysville, Muskoka (Ontario). We are stoked that Headwaters will mark the first official opening of our new camp!
FEES FOR THE WEEKEND
Our fees have been adjusted to reflect the amount of dynamic and inspiring energy that goes into making this amazing event possible for everybody involved.
In the past, Headwaters participants have registered in advance, and fee collection happened at the gates of the event. Due to Headwaters’ popularity– with its long waiting lists coupled with last-minute cancellations, Going forward, we will only be accepting payment online in advance of the gathering, both to ensure registrants’ commitment to attendance, as well as to keep things moving as smoothly as possible at the check-in tent.
The layers of growth of this gathering from its early beginnings of a few friends gathered on a family farm to its full-thriving robustness of over 150 people today are like a tree’s concentric rings. We are committing to ensuring that this growth continues to take place in right relation, with continued training and skills deepening opportunities available for folks who are keen to be part of the journey.
Whether you’d like to hone your wilderness living skills, deepen your connection with community, share the passions, gifts and skills that you bring, or gain invaluable experience working behind the scenes in one of the many volunteer roles, the Headwaters Gathering, like it’s namesake, promises to never stand still. Let us all continue to move, dance, flow and grow together, on our individual journeys of connection to self, nature, and community.
